Milhshake

The person who found milkshake, a drink that even made a song for the sake, was the
subject of many people’s positive prayers. According to Google Ngram, the term Milkshake was first
used in 1881. It was firstly referred to as “egg milk”, while it was later referred to as syrup milk. Egg
milk was expressed by term of “eggnog” which we can see its usage on Google Ngram. Usage of
Eggnog started to increase after 1881, altough it was using earlier than 1881. Milkshake begins to be
produced with chocolate and strawberries in the 20th century. The ice cream, which was served on a
stick in early 1920, was put on the milkshake instead of being put on the stick in the 30s and started
to be served. This transformation was a revolution for Milkshake, and the drink found itself among
the most consumed products.

The creator of the milkshake recipe known today is estimated as Ivar “Pop” Coulson, an
employee of the Walgreens market chain. Milkshake, which was consumed with a spoon until the
pipette was invented in 1935, is made more liquid to make it easier to drink with the pipette and it
regains its current state.
