Ingredients for Semolina Halva Recipe

For halva:

1.5 cups of semolina

3 tablespoons of butter

1/2 cup of pine nuts

1.5 cups of water

1.5 cups of milk

1.5 cups of powdered sugar

 

For service:

2 teaspoons of cinnamon (option)

 

How to Make Semolina Halva?

1- Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a pan.

2- Start by roasting half a glass of pine nut in it.

3- After the peanuts are roasted, transfer 1.5 cups of semolina to the pot.

4- Stir constantly, fry on low heat for 20 minutes.

5- For the sherbet of the dessert; Pour 1.5 cups of water, 1.5 cups of sugar, and 1.5 cups of milk in a small sauce pot. After mixing, let simmer over low heat.

6- After the semolina is well roasted, transfer the hot syrup mixture to the pan little by little.

7- Continue to stir constantly, the semolina, which begins to boil under the influence of a hot syrup.

8- Continue cooking halva for 8-10 minutes on low heat. Close a lid on it to rest.

9- Take the brewed semolina halva into the serving bowls, turn it over and take it out, then serve it with cinnamon or ice cream as desired.
